๐Ÿ’กWhat is Velorn?

Velorn is built as an AI-native video editor rather than a separate AI generator bolted onto a conventional timeline. The desktop application combines project management, multi-track editing, captions, effects and export with an MCP interface that lets an AI agent work directly on the timeline. Users can connect their preferred agent and inspect the edits instead of handing the entire project to a closed cloud service. The core editing, captions and export workflows work without ComfyUI; current media-generation features require a local ComfyUI instance. The project is GPL-3.0 licensed. It is a strong fit for creators who want an actual editor that an AI agent can operate, while still retaining manual control over the same timeline. Because it is an active open-source project, the feature set is evolving and users should check current release notes before relying on a particular AI workflow.
